This week is the last full week of NPDL. Next week we have to finish and present our project to the community/ parents. I think we are nearly finished and I'm excited to see our final presentation.
I am a student at Ōtaki College in Ōtaki, NZ. My blog is a place where I will be able to share some of my learning. Please note....some work won't be edited - they are just my first drafts, so there may be some errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas on my posts.

We have achieved a lot this week including; interviewing, making quotes, making progression updates and daily videos of this progress.
How effectively have I used my time?
I think myself and overall my group have used our time reasonably well and achieved enough work this week.
How have you contributed to your groups progress?
I have helped with most things like interviews, quotes and helping with the documents.
Something going well In my group?
We have achieved a good amount of work so far and are working well together.

NPDL
This term the year 10s at Otaki College are working on a project. We are focusing on electricity and how we could change it for the better in our community, or school, or for our houses. My group consists of Me, Jeana, Jess, Eunacee, Summer and Winter. We decided to focus our project on our school with our question being: How sustainable for our college are heat pumps instead of radiators?
So far we have done one week of the project and have already completed tasks like; making all the resources, setting a plan, setting up interviews, creating questions and interviewing an electrician. Below are some questions we were asked to answer about the project so far.
How effectively have you used your time this week?
I think my group have worked reasonably well this week and achieved what we have needed to.
How have you contributed to your group’s progress?
I have helped come up with questions for interviews and contributed to the planning/ organising of the tasks and order we have to accomplish them.
Glows: something that is going well in your project:
I think we are starting to work better as a team and contributing to the project.
Grows: Something you need to work on:
Making sure that we share the work equally and keep working well as a group.
Where could you get help with this?
From listening to each other.
What are the next steps for your project?
We have a couple more people to interview, than we will start to assemble all of the information onto a slideshow before making our final presentation.
Overall So far our project is going well and has been productive, I am interested to see how it turns out!
